Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 12, 2026
Inning Wizard ("we," "us," or "our") is a baseball and softball lineup scheduling tool. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address.
Team and roster data. We store the team names, player names, and lineup history you enter into the app. This data is associated with your account.
Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or billing details — Stripe handles all payment data under their own Privacy Policy.
Usage data. We use Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel to collect information about pages visited and actions taken (such as signing up or generating a lineup). This data helps us understand how the product is used and improve the experience. Google and Meta may set their own cookies as part of these services. You can opt out of Google Analytics via Google's opt-out tool.
Cookies and sessions. We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, and analytics cookies set by Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel as described above.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To store and display your teams, rosters, and lineups
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To send transactional emails (invitations, password resets, and account notices)
- To respond to support requests
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except as described above (Stripe for payments, email delivery via SMTP).
3. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data — including teams, rosters, and game history — is permanently deleted. We do not retain backups of deleted accounts beyond standard database backup cycles (typically 14 days).
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Contract performance: Processing necessary to provide the Service (account management, lineup generation, team data storage)
- Consent: Where you have given consent, such as receiving optional communications
- Legitimate interests: Error logging and service improvement, provided these do not override your rights
5. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information via your profile settings
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile page
- Export your lineup data via CSV download (available on paid plans) or request a copy of your data
- Object to processing of your personal data
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
To exercise any of these rights, you can use the self-service tools in the app or contact us at info@inningwizard.com. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.
6. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Right to delete your personal information
- Right to opt-out of sale — We do not sell your personal information. We have never sold personal information and have no plans to do so.
- Right to non-discrimination — We will not deny you service, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service for exercising your privacy rights.
Categories of personal information we collect: identifiers (name, email), commercial information (subscription tier), and internet activity (basic usage logs). We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA.
7. International Data Transfers
Inning Wizard is hosted in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We protect your data using the security measures described in this policy.
8. Data Controller
Inning Wizard is the data controller responsible for your personal data. For privacy inquiries, contact us at info@inningwizard.com.
9. Security
Passwords are stored as salted hashes and never in plain text. All connections to Inning Wizard use HTTPS/TLS encryption. We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
Inning Wizard is intended for use by coaches and league administrators, not by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Player names entered into rosters are not linked to user accounts and are not treated as personal data of those individuals.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
